Dangerous dog investigation ongoing Leckhampton

Summary

A woman has contacted police, following reports that several people were attacked by dogs. Police appealed for her to come forward, after reports that two dogs had been dangerously out of control and caused injuries to people in the Daisy Bank area of Cheltenham. The first incident took place on Leckhampton Hill at around 11am on September 22 and saw the dogs jump up and scratch a woman after running towards her.

Details

The second incident was reported at around 8:15am on October 1 and saw one the dogs attack a man causing cuts to his legs. The owner of the dogs did not provide her details on either of the occasions. Officers asked for her to make contact so that she could give an account of what happened.

Both dogs are white, with one wearing a muzzle and the other not. They were described as suspected American Bull Dog breeds. Under Section 3 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, it is an offence to have a dog dangerously out of control in any place, including all private property.

Although a woman has been in touch with police, the investigation is ongoing. Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened.
