A new Cheltenham bar hit its £100,000 Crowdfunder target with 48 hours to spare. Siren Craft Brew will open at The Brewery Quarter next Monday (September 28). In August, it launched a Crowdfunder to support the bar’s refurbishment with a range of rewards available, including a 150% return on investment, which can be used at the bar, or online at the Siren webshop.

The Crowdfunder closed yesterday (September 23), with 837 people splashing the cash to support the new venue and a total of £139,885 raised. Siren Craft Brew is a Reading-based independent brewery, which will be bringing more than 30 lines of brewery-fresh beer, cask ale, wines, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks and good food to The Brewery Quarter.
It is opening in the former Brewdog, which closed in March, when it collapsed into administration, with the loss of 19 jobs in the town. A Siren team spokesperson said: “Firstly, a massive thank you. You all smashed past our target on Monday night, with more than 48 hours left to run.

We hugely appreciate that you trust us to deliver on these campaigns, and we will do everything we can to ensure you get the most value from being a part of this new project.” The Cheltenham bar will be just the fourth Siren venue, with all of the others in the Reading area.
Siren employs more than 80 people and brewed the equivalent of more than four million pints in 2026. Its beer is stocked by Sainsburys, Waitrose, Morrisons and Asda.
