Sharing a round-up this week of all the new businesses set to arrive soon in Montpellier, Cheltenham Vibe on Instagram teased that you will soon find everything from a new cocktail bar and Indian restaurant, to the latest fashion boutique – and that’s all within just 50 metres of one another.
Along Montpellier Walk, the former ASK Italian restaurant will soon be reopened as Bandook , an award-winning Indian restaurant which also has a site in Bath. Bandook initially announced its arrival in Cheltenham in October 2025, and while there is still no official opening date, the branding is up on the outside of the building, and fans of the restaurant are eagerly awaiting its arrival.
Just a couple of doors down from Bandook, the former site of Urban Fox cocktail bar is set to reopen as Plates and Shakers , another cocktail bar whose site in Ross-on-Wye won Best Cocktail Bar at the 2025 Midlands Food and Beverage Hospitality Awards.
It is unclear when the cocktail and tapas bar will be arriving in Cheltenham, as the windows of the building are currently boarded up from the inside – although the facade of the building is also plastered with glowing reviews of the bar that have been printed out from TripAdvisor. Also on Montpellier Walk, the former Slate Clothing store is becoming Busby & Fox .
The independent women’s clothing brand already has 12 locations around the south-west, including in Cirencester and Oxford. Busby & Fox is currently hiring for staff for its upcoming Cheltenham branch, advertising “roles for passionate people who love effortless style”. You can apply at the brand’s website, busbyandfox.com.
And over at Queen’s Circus, you’ll soon find Koco Bloom , a Pilates and wellbeing studio offering mindfulness classes and holistic treatments across four relaxing treatment rooms. Koco Bloom is expected to open in August, and has already begun introducing its team of staff over on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Cheltenham has already welcomed Millie’s Brasserie , a new restaurant that opened its doors last month on the roundabout linking Suffolk Square and Lansdown Road.
