A 42-year-old man has been bailed to await sentence after he admitted causing more than £4,000 worth of damage to the premises of four businesses in Tewkesbury and Worcester. Matthew West of Barton Road, Tewkesbury, also admitted breaking into a fifth business in Ashchurch with intent to do unlawful damage.

At Cheltenham Magistrates Court West pleaded guilty to: * Causing £3,000 damage to a window at Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Worcester, on 14th July last year; *Doing £1,000 worth of damage at Right Front Door in Worcester on the same date; *Damaging a window of unknown value at Go Outdoors, Worcester, also on the same date; *Being drunk and disorderly in High Street, Worcester on July 14, 2025; *Burglary of Joedean, Unit 3, Northway Gate, Ashchurch with intent to do damage on October 31, last year; and *Causing £200 damage to a shop front window in Tewkesbury on Halloween night 2025.
He was bailed till October 20, for a pre-sentence report to be prepared. While on bail he must report three times a week to Tewkesbury Police and live and sleep each night at his home address.
