New director for Cheltenham property consultants Evans Jones

Cheltenham firm Evans Jones has hired a new director to head up its planning team. Peter Canavan has joined the property and planning consultants which has offices in the Royal Mews. A chartered town planner with more than 18 years of experience across the public and private sectors, Peter previously worked as a partner at Carter Jonas in Oxford and at three different councils in their planning departments.

He said he was sad to say goodbye to his previous role but “thrilled” to start his new position. “I am excited to step into this new chapter with Evans Jones,” added Peter in a LinkedIn post.

“I look forward to leading the planning team, driving impactful growth, and delivering exceptional results for our clients.” Evans Jones has worked on projects including the redevelopment of Cheltenham Ladies College Sports Centre site, a £5.1million specialist children centre for Chamwell Centre Charity in Longlevens and a new secondary school in Cheltenham.

Mr Jones said his appointment “considerably strengthens” the senior leadership team and enhances the strategic planning advice and service the firm provides to clients across the country.
