By extending the life of your technology, you’re supporting both environmental sustainability and social impact. As part of its commitment to supporting the initiative, Lister director Jim Clapham has become an ambassador for the ITSA Digital Trust. Jim is available to help Lister customers understand the process, answer questions and arrange collections directly with the charity.
Jim said: “I think this is a great initiative because we speak to businesses all the time that have stuff sitting in cupboards or struggle to get rid of it because of the expense and hassle. Through the ITSA Digital Trust, they can do this easily and responsibly in a way that helps others and supports a good cause.” What can be donated?
ITSA Digital Trust is currently able to accept: Working desktop computers and laptops (typically up to seven years old) Windows 7 and newer devices Flat-screen monitors Chargers and power supplies Keyboards and mice Cables and power leads The charity provides secure handling of donated equipment and works with businesses to make the process as straightforward as possible.
Jim added: “I had a wonderful visit to see The ITSA Digital Trust in Cheltenham, where I had the great honour of being made one of their ambassadors. It was great to see a very dedicated team repurposing this mountain of kit, which they do with great skill and care.” Belinda Wilson, ITSA Digital Trust business liaison manager , said: “We’re really pleased to have Jim as an ambassador.
One of the reasons I approached him was because of the work Lister are doing with Punchline and the Nelson Trust with the phone recycling campaign which is what made me think he might be a contact for ITSA and he jumped at the opportunity. He came straight for a visit and is really pleased to be a part of it. “We’ve got 11 ambassadors now.
Andy Jarrett and John Fisher from Westway IT were the first two ambassadors that we recruited and helped us put the programme together. “We’re still looking for more ambassadors – it’s limitless.
