KEYSIGMA has been named a finalist for SME Consultancy of the Year at the National Cyber Awards and a regional finalist for SME Apprenticeship Employer of the Year at the Regional Apprenticeship and Skills Awards 2026. Established in 2021, KEYSIGMA has grown into a specialist cyber security consultancy supporting organisations across the UK.
It is a Cyber Essentials Certification Body, an NCSC Assured Cyber Advisor provider and an authorised Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) Assessor for Levels 0-3. Adam Nottage, managing director at KEYSIGMA , said: “To be recognised as a finalist in two major award schemes at the same time is an incredibly proud moment for everyone at KEYSIGMA.
“What makes it particularly special is that the two awards recognise different sides of what we have worked so hard to build. “We are a relatively small team, so every person has played a part in getting us here. To see their hard work recognised at this level is fantastic, and we couldn’t be prouder.” KEYSIGMA currently supports four degree apprentices, with two in their first year and two in their third year, combining university study with hands-on experience alongside experienced cyber security professionals.
For a small business, employing and developing the apprentices represents a significant investment, but it is one KEYSIGMA believes is vital both for its own future and for developing skills within the wider cyber security sector. As a result of its investment, KEYSIGMA is home to the youngest NCSC qualified cyber assessor in the country, as well as the youngest female NCSC qualified cyber assessor.
Ben Smith, year 3 degree apprentice , said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at KEYSIGMA so far. As an apprentice, I’ve had the chance to build experience across different areas of cyber security while also working towards my degree.
I’ve also learned a huge amount from working with Adam and drawing on his experience.” Maisie Laing, year 3 degree apprentice , said: “Being supported by such a knowledgeable and skilled team at KEYSIGMA has given me the chance to learn what a role in cyber security actually entails and to develop my practical skills while learning from the best.
