Decathlon closing only Gloucestershire store leaving shoppers 'gutted'

The branch’s closure at Regent Arcade will leave a large gap in the shopping centre, which is also home to other big chains including Mango, H&M and TK Maxx. Signs state that it will close on August 29, two weeks from today. Responding via Reddit, one shopper said: “One of the few shops I actually go to.

Gutted.” Another agreed: “I was really pleased when they opened up in Cheltenham. It’s a real shame they are closing.” It’s departure will be another blow for the town centre after the historic Cavendish House building closed for good, having operated in the town for over 200 years. Earlier this year, traders along The Promenade spoke of feeling ‘forgotten’ since the department store’s closure.
