Cheltenham man jailed after £9k drugs found in bedroom

A Gloucestershire drug dealer has been jailed after spending two years supplying drugs in Cheltenham. Thomas Blomer, of Wimborne Close in Up Hatherley, was sentenced to three years and four months imprisonment, after pleading guilty to seven drug offences. Officers carried out a drugs warrant at an address linked to Blomer after “developing intelligence that he had been dealing drugs”.

During a search of a bedroom, police found 76.5 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, a combined 28 grams of MDMA and ketamine, and 128 grams of cannabis. The drugs had a suspected combined value of £9,980. An iPhone was also seized where 18 text conversations were later found which showed Blomer had been selling controlled drugs between November 2022 and November 2024.
The 37-year-old was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of Class A and B dugs with intent to supply. Police also obtained production orders for Blomer’s bank accounts after the text conversations showed him telling buyers to transfer money.

He was also ordered to pay £270 under Section 27 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. The seized drugs and drug paraphernalia was ordered to be destroyed. A spokesperson for the Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Local Policing Area said: “We are glad that Blomer has been taken off the streets and is no longer able to impact our local communities by dealing drugs.
“This case is just another example of how tirelessly we are working to disrupt those who think they can deal drugs here in Gloucestershire.” Gloucestershire Police said: “Thomas Blomer, aged 37 and of Wimborne Close in Up Hatherley was sentenced to three years and four months imprisonment after pleading guilty to drugs offences.”
