DEYA Brewing Company announces partnership with FilmChelt

Summary

DEYA Brewing Company has announced a new partnership with FilmChelt. The Cheltenham-based independent brewery will provide a pop-up bar service for this year’s festival as part of a new partnership supporting film and culture in the town.

Details

DEYA will be bringing their signature beers, and wine too, helping FilmChelt create a welcoming experience for audiences while supporting the continued growth of film and cinema within the local community.

Taking place from October 30 to November 8, FilmChelt is bringing an eclectic programme of pre-release films, documentaries, international movies, cult favourites, and thought-provoking middle eastern stories at two venues across Cheltenham. The festival will offer audiences opportunities to discover something new, hear from people working within the film industry and come together through a shared love of cinema.

DEYA has grown from a local independent brewery into one of Cheltenham’s most recognisable brands, with its beers now enjoyed across the UK and further afield. Despite that growth, the company remains firmly rooted in the town where it was established. Its partnership with FilmChelt reflects a shared belief in the value of creativity, independence and cultural experiences that bring people together.

Theo Freyne, founder of DEYA Brewing Company , said: “Creativity is integral to what we do at DEYA, so partnering with a festival that celebrates the creative field is a perfect fit.

We’re proud to be supporting the people and organisations that make the town such a creative and interesting place to live.” Through the collaboration, festival goers will be able to enjoy drinks supplied by DEYA at selected FilmChelt events and screenings at Hub8 MX – a new town centre venue that will undergo its first transformation into a bespoke cinema for the 10-day festival.

The partnership will also help FilmChelt create an experience that extends beyond the screen. Alongside its film programme, the festival provides opportunities for audiences, filmmakers and members of Cheltenham’s creative community to meet, exchange ideas and celebrate cinema together. Chris Hall, COO of FilmChelt , said: “We’re thrilled to welcome DEYA as a FilmChelt partner.

Although DEYA is now recognised far beyond Cheltenham, it’s retained a strong connection to the town and has become an important part of its independent identity. “Support from local businesses makes a genuine difference to festivals like ours. It enables us to continue creating ambitious cultural experiences here in Cheltenham and helps us introduce more people to brilliant, original and thought-provoking cinema.
