A week to go until Gloucestershire Tech Week!

Summary

Gloucestershire Tech Week is back for year two, from a week today! It’s your chance to join in five days of events celebrating and connecting the county’s tech community. The launch event takes place on Thursday, October 8 , from 6pm to 9pm at Iress in Honeybourne Place, Jessop Avenue, Cheltenham GL50 3SH.

Details

The evening is deliberately simple: a short welcome, a preview of the week ahead and plenty of time to talk. You’ll be in a room with the founders, disruptors, innovators, leaders and learners who make up Gloucestershire’s tech scene, many of whom you’ll see again at events throughout the week. If you want to get the most out of Tech Week, this is the place to start.

Everyone is welcome, whether you joined us last year or this is your first Tech Week. Come along, meet the community and start the week as you mean to go on. Places are free but limited, so please register to secure your spot here .

Gloucestershire County Council is partnering with CyNam to co-produce flagship events at Gloucestershire Tech Week 2026, helping local businesses strengthen cyber resilience, embrace digital innovation, and unlock growth opportunities. Each day will see a different venue and a different theme with dozens of speakers lined up throughout the week.

On Monday, October 12 , the venue is the Jet Age Museum at Gloucestershire Airport, Staverton, and the theme is Heritage. A place rooted in aviation, engineering and national capability, it was chosen to open the week by connecting Gloucestershire’s past strengths with the future challenges facing the UK.

Providing the keynote welcome speech on the first day will be Cllr Lisa Spivey, leader of Gloucestershire County Council. On Tuesday, October 13 , the venue is Hub8 MX in Cheltenham town centre, and the theme is Resilience & Sovereignty. This day explores what resilience and sovereignty really mean, and what it takes to build organisations and infrastructure that can absorb a shock and keep moving.

A central Cheltenham innovation space connected to the cyber, tech and business ecosystem was chosen for a day focused on resilience, critical capability and organisational preparedness. On Wednesday, October14 , the venue is University of Gloucestershire‘s FuturePark at Park Campus, Cheltenham, and the theme is Curiosity. Curiosity is where new capability starts.

This day explores the power of thinking differently and how curiosity drives growth, innovation and resilience. A £5.8 million centre of excellence for cyber and digital at the University of Gloucestershire was chosen for a day about how curiosity drives growth, innovation and resilience. On Thursday, October 15 the venue is Patch at The Forum, Gloucester, and the theme is [Artificial] Intelligence.
