Summary
A man has been banned from entering parts of Cheltenham for the next 11 months after a torrent of “abusive and threatening behaviour”. Over several weeks, police received a number of complaints about Nathan Hayward’s behaviour towards members of the local community. The 34-year-old was hit with an anti-social behaviour injunction (ASBI) by Gloucester County Court on July 3, which was finalised on August 13.

Hayward is now forbidden from doing anything which causes alarm, harassment, or distress to any person in Cheltenham or Gloucester. He must not use or threaten to use violence towards any person in Gloucestershire, either. Hayward is also banned from being in Warwick Place and Grove Street in Cheltenham at any time.

The ASBI is in place until July 3, 2027, and if he breaches any of the conditions, he can be arrested. Cheltenham Solace, in partnership with the Cheltenham Neighbourhood Policing Team, were able to secure the injunction against Hayward. Gloucestershire Police said: “Members of the public should report any incidents involving Hayward to Gloucestershire Police, either through the website or on 101.”
