Two companies fined £1K each plus costs for ignoring Gloucestershire police requests

Summary

Two companies which failed to respond to police demands for information about who was driving their vehicles in Gloucestershire at the time of alleged motoring offences have been fined £1,000 each. Both firms, one based in Worcestershire and the other in Middlesex, were also ordered by Cheltenham Magistrates on Monday this week to pay a further £530 each in costs and surcharges.

Details

Alien 2 Ltd, a vehicle rental and leasing company based in Uxbridge Road, Pinner, and Harpland Ltd, a property letting and management business of Rectory Road, Upton on Severn, did not enter pleas to the charges or attend court. They were both convicted in their absence. Alien 2 was charged with failing to notify Gloucestershire Police who was driving a Renault Master van in September 2024.
