Cheltenham Post Office broken into in midnight raid as stamps stolen

A Post Office in Cheltenham was burgled when three unknown offenders entered the premises in a midnight raid. Gloucestershire Constabulary reported the burglary happened at 12.20pm at Charlton Kings Post Office on Tuesday, May 19. The burglars reportedly forced the locks on the rear door of the building.

Once inside, the offenders were seen on CCTV taking cigarettes, stamps and cash from the till, said the force. The Post Office have confirmed that the burglary on Lyefield Road West happened while the store was closed. They added that the branch is open today.
