The Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival has announced its free programme of over 100 events and activities taking over Montpellier Gardens and Cheltenham Town from 10-19 October 2025.

The world’s longest-running literature festival continues to lead the way in celebrating the written and spoken word, with a diverse lineup of talks, readings, workshops, and performances. This year’s free events include family-friendly activities, author discussions, and interactive sessions covering a range of literary genres.

One highlight is the festival’s first-ever Guest Curator for Comics, award-winning children’s illustrator Jamie Smart. He has curated a special programme showcasing the joy and creativity of the comic art form.
