Cheltenham’s ‘Party in the Park’ Returned for Third Year

Cheltenham’s Beloved ‘Party in the Park’ Returns for Third Year

Families across Cheltenham can look forward to a day of free, fun-filled activities at Pittville Park on Wednesday, 5 August. The annual “Party in the Park” event, organised by the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) initiative, is making its highly anticipated return for the third consecutive summer.

Details

The event will commence with a quiet hour from 10am to 11am, providing a calm start for those who may benefit from a more subdued environment. The full programme of free activities will then run from 11am to 4pm, catering to children and young people of all ages. Local organisations will be leading a wide range of offerings, including circus skills, BMX and skating, creative arts sessions, inflatables, a climbing wall, and various physical activities.

Live music, dance, and theatre performances by young people will continue until 5pm, adding to the lively atmosphere. Last year’s event also saw the distribution of free, healthy meals to around 950 eligible children, thanks to funding from Gloucestershire County Council’s Holiday Activity and Food Scheme (HAF). The organisers plan to provide these meals once again.

Additionally, an advice village will be set up to connect families with support and guidance from local community organisations.
