Details

The Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, which ran from 10-19 October 2025, welcomed record-breaking crowds over its ten-day programme. The festival celebrated the enduring power of storytelling, with a diverse lineup of acclaimed authors, poets, and public figures taking the stage.

Elsewhere, the Cheltenham Science Festival from 2-7 June 2026 is now accepting event proposals from those looking to share their passion for science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and the social sciences. The festival aims to communicate complex ideas through engaging formats accessible to all.

Comic artists also took centre stage at last year’s Literature Festival, with award-winning illustrator Jamie Smart serving as the event’s first-ever Guest Curator for Comics. The programme featured a wide range of workshops, talks, and family-friendly activities spotlighting the art form.
