Heritage and listed property expert joins HCR Law

HCR Law has welcomed heritage and listed building expert Rhiannon Edwards as a partner in its residential property team. Rhiannon, who is based in Cheltenham, has extensive experience advising owners of listed buildings where the legal landscape is one of the most complex in residential sales and purchases. She is one of the few UK residential conveyancing solicitors experienced in listed building prosecutions.

Over her 25-year career as a solicitor, she has advised on some unique properties – including the purchase of a Napoleonic sea fort. Rhiannon said: “While much of my work is residential conveyancing, title issues and unregistered land matters, I find it particularly fascinating to work on the sale or purchase of listed buildings and scheduled ancient monuments.
These properties have a unique story which adds an extra dimension to the legal work involved.” As well as advising on general residential conveyancing, Rhiannon offers a combination of residential property, planning enforcement and listed building prosecution experience that is unique, and has expertise in complex and high value transactions, including listed buildings and rural property.
